If you have booked an appointment with Vihana Dental Care through our website, WhatsApp booking assistant, or in-chat widget, we hold a basic contact record for you (name, phone number, email where provided). This page explains how you can ask us to delete it.
Your standalone contact record (name, phone, email) is permanently removed from our patient database.
Deleting your contact record does not remove your historical appointment records. Appointment, treatment, and payment history are clinical and financial records that dental practices in India are required to retain for a minimum period under applicable medical record-keeping and tax regulations, regardless of a deletion request for the contact record itself. If you have a specific concern about a particular record, mention it in your request and we will explain what can and cannot be removed in your case.
We never store your card, UPI, or bank details — these are held only by Razorpay, our payment processor, under its own policies. A data deletion request to us does not affect records Razorpay independently retains as required by financial regulation; you can contact Razorpay directly for that.
This process reflects the technical safeguards we've built — access-controlled admin tools, logged deletions, and a clear retention boundary between contact records and clinical history — aligned with the principles of India's Digital Personal Data Protection Act, 2023. It is not a substitute for independent legal advice about your specific rights.
